The AMS Wedding Experience

Not just your date and venue.  I want to know how you met. What makes you laugh. What you're ridiculously excited about. What you're absolutely not doing because it just isn't you. I'm going to ask questions. Probably more than you expect. And yes, I might get a little nosy. Because the more I know about you two, the better I can recognize the moments that are going to matter.

Based in Frederick, Maryland, I photograph weddings throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania, including Frederick, Baltimore, Annapolis, Leesburg, Middleburg, Loudoun County, and beyond. I'm especially drawn to historic venues, gardens, vineyards, waterfront celebrations, and places with a little personality.

1. Let's get to know each other!

This is where we start.
We'll talk about your wedding, what you've already planned, what you're still figuring out, and what you want your day to actually feel like.
I'll tell you about my collections, answer your questions, and help you figure out what makes sense for your wedding.
And if you want to tell me how you met or show me the ring? I'm absolutely here for that too.
Once you're booked, I'll send over your welcome guide and questionnaire so I can keep getting to know you and we can start making a plan.

2. THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Let's get you comfortable. Your engagement session is about more than getting some pretty photographs before the wedding.
It's where you get to figure out what it's like to have me following you around with a camera.
You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to suddenly become models.
I'll give you direction, we'll probably laugh at least a little, and eventually you'll forget I'm there.
That's when the photographs start feeling like you.

3. PRE-WEDDING PREP

This is where we start putting the pieces together.
We'll talk through your timeline, locations, family photos, portraits, lighting, and all the little things that can make the photography part of your day easier instead of chaotic.
I'll ask questions, make suggestions, and help you figure out when and where we should photograph things without turning your wedding into one giant photography schedule.
And if you have no idea where to start? That's okay. You don't have to come to me with all the answers.

4. WEDDING DAY!

Your job is to be married.
Hug your people. Eat the cake. Cry a little. Dance way too hard. Sneak away together for five minutes if you need to.
I'll guide you when you need direction and keep an eye out for the good stuff happening around you.
If I see gorgeous light during cocktail hour, I'm probably grabbing you for a quick portrait. If I spot something happening at the bar that needs photographing, I'm going after it. And sometimes I start a portrait session and have a really hard time stopping because the light is just too good. Fair warning. The timeline might change. Someone will probably be late. The weather may have other plans.
We'll roll with it.

5. GALLERY DELIVERY

Once your wedding day is over, I'll get to work.
You'll receive your beautifully edited, high-resolution photographs in a private online gallery that never expires, along with personal printing rights.
You'll also receive a blog post featuring your wedding story.
And if you're an album person like me, we can turn your favorite photographs into something you can actually hold onto. I don't want your wedding photographs sitting forgotten in a folder on your computer.
I want you to keep finding them.

Most of my couples invest in the $5K range for wedding photography.
My most popular collection is my 8-hour collection at $5,270, which includes your complimentary engagement session, second photographer, timeline guidance, heirloom album, and fully edited images delivered through your private online gallery.
Every wedding is different, so collections can be tailored around what matters most to you.
Full-day wedding collections range from $5K–$8K.
