CHRISTMAS MAGIC ELOPEMENT AT GRAMERCY MANSION | LINDA & MICHAEL | MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
CHRISTMAS MAGIC ELOPEMENT AT GRAMERCY MANSION | LINDA & MICHAEL | MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Linda had been dreaming of a Christmas wedding at the Gramercy for as long as she could remember, so when they announced their pop up event, she snagged that place faster you could say ” Merry Christmas.” This Christmas magic elopement was nothing short of just that – magical. The magic started long before their special day, though. Linda & Michael met on Match.com after Linda moved back to Maryland from Myrtle Beach. Linda says that there was something about the look in Michael’s eyes that made her reach out.
Their first date was more than a first date – the spent almost three hours together. They even did the age old trick of having someone text them to give them an out – and they both ignored it. Clearly, it worked out, because they’ve been together ever since.
The magic didn’t stop there, though. Behind every good marriage is a great proposal story. Michael took Linda to the Inner Harbor to get away. After dinner reservations at a nice steakhouse, they checked into their hotel. Michael, being nervous like most future grooms, disappeared for a little while to get the ring. When he reappeared, Linda asked what took him so long. He got down on one knee, started to ask, and she said yes before he could get the words out. They say that months later, since he never really asked, she checked in just to confirm that he was really asking her to marry him, or just asking her to be his girlfriend.
HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT THE OTHER WAS “THE ONE”?
There’s usually some kind of defining moment or personality trait that you pick up when you realize that your special someone is “the one”. Michael says it’s because Linda speaks her mind, both good and bad, and she always makes him feel that what he does for her is the most important thing in the world. Linda said that she knew Michael was the one because he came into her life when she was taking care of her mother, treating her like part of his family. He helped out any way he could, and never left her said.
Isn’t that what marriage is all about? Being there for each other, through all the times, good and bad? Linda & Michael have proved, time and time again, that their love is the real thing.
WRAPPED IN A BOW
There’s just something about Christmas morning, isn’t there? These two totally understand it – the love of Christmas decor, and the chaos of Christmas morning with the family. Because they are blending two amazing families, they get to celebrate with their kids, granddaughter, and several dogs and it’s the best ever. One of the things that they told me is that this time of year always feels like a new beginning, and it only make sense that they chose it to start their new lives together. They celebrated Christmas together this year the day after the wedding, just the two of them, as husband and wife.
Linda & Michael, I am so thrilled you were able to get your sweet Christmas wedding that you’ve always dreamed of. I loved learning your love story and can’t wait to see where life takes you! No two people are better suited!
With Love, Amanda
