BREATHTAKING GRAMERCY MANSION WEDDING | SAM & JOSH | MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | AMANDA MACPHEE STUDIOS
Sam and Josh are probably one of the most adorable couples I have ever gotten to spend time with. We did their engagement session at Longwood Gardens and THAT was enough of a dream come true. Now we come to their wedding day at the dreamy Gramercy Mansion and I am just flying! Everything about these two was just perfect. Their day did start off a bit rocky with hail in the morning (seriously hail in May?!) and intermittent rain storms after that. But by the time their ceremony rolled around, the rain clouds had dispersed and we had a soft glow the rest of the day 🙂 It wouldn’t have mattered though. These two were glowing all on their own!
Nestled in the gardens of Gramercy Mansion, Sam and Josh look at each other and laugh with glee, not truly believing that this just happened. That just a few minutes ago they were standing infront of all their family and friends promising to love and care for each other til death did them part. The smile on Josh’s face said it all as he watched her come down the aisle towards him. This was really happening. Sam was about to become his wife. He felt like the luckiest guy in the world. Sam approached, trying to keep the tears at bay. The joy she was feeling in that moment was just so unreal! The minute they locked gazes, neither looked away. It was almost as if they were having a secret conversation just the two of them until those wonderful words were uttered: “You may now kiss the bride.”
The bride and groom descend the grand staircase and make their way to the atrium where their guests are waiting to congratulate them. Amongst the chatter and laughs, dinner is served. Everyone takes their seat beneath the atrium ceiling dotted with twinkling lights. After rounds of laughter and tears, the bride and groom leave to share their first dance in one of the adjoining rooms. Standing the doorways, everyone watches the newlyweds spin around the dance floor in their own little world, watching in heartwarming awe, some even with hands over their hearts, barely able to contain their happiness.
Sam and Josh, I know I have already said this a million times, but you were my DREAM couple! You took me to two of my favorite places and really let me in to capture who you are, truly. Sam I just love your heart and I’m so happy to know you. Josh, you are beyond adorable and I hope to one day find someone who looks at me the way you look at Sam. You two have changed my life and I can’t thank you more for it. Congratulations on your marriage and all the best moving forward!
