From Amanda: (Prepare for many run on sentences!) THIS was such a special day for me to be a part of! I have known Maricely since high school french class (I still slip up every now and then and call her by her assigned french name, Marcelle). So when she first met Josh, I was unbelievably happy for her to have found such an amazing partner. And when they got engaged? Well that happiness hit an all new high. And ofcourse I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture their sweet little wedding at the Frederick Courthouse. (Bigger party coming soon) And what a day that was! A crisp fall day made it all the more perfect to watch one of my very good friends say I do. It was seriously so amazing!

A Modern Connection

You don’t hear enough success stories from dating apps, so here’s one! On December 2017, the swiping had finally come to a close for Maricely and Josh. when they matched!! They didn’t know it ofcourse, but after a sweet movie and ice cream date, the two would be hitting delete on all those dating apps and getting to know each other much more!

Fast Forward one Year

After their Valentine’ Weekend lunch, Josh said that he wanted to take pictures of the surrounding Mosaic District for his photography class. (Sneaky Man)

“I was mostly off to the side so as not to be in the way of his shots. At one point I was facing away from him while he was taking pictures. Then he suddenly called out to me… so when I turned around I found him on 1 knee with a ring box in his hand. I cried immediately, but after a few moments of initial surprise/disbelief I said yes!”

The One

Sometimes there is a defining moment, other times its a slow build, but eventually every couple can say how they knew the other was “the one.” That one person they can envision a forever future with.

Josh: When we started talking about the future and planning a life together (marriage, kids, career/money goals).

Maricely: When we would have small arguments/disagreements, I used to fear that eventually my emotions would get the best of me and lead to a fight. But every time, Josh would always encourage me to talk it out with him and made it a point not to go to bed angry at one another.
