From Amanda: The gorgeous cherry trees were blooming today so you know I was already super excited for this session, but when plans shifted over to a different location, I was over the moon! I love when couples extend the details of their session into their homes as it tells their story all the more beautifully! That and no DC parking stress! I can’t wait to see how they transform it later for their wedding reception!

Fruit Ninja

It was a Halloween just like any other. Steph decided to dress as ninja and Lee thought a banana would be fun. When they each arrived for the party at the saloon, neither was aware that they were already matching (Lee: Fruit, Steph: Ninja= Fruit Ninja) And when they met, that was it. The two talked for hours and after some time, they both had a pretty good feeling about each other and kinda knew they couldn’t let this be a one time meet. So they went on their first date the very next week!

How He Asked: The Best Laid Plans

Lee had hoped to propose during the sunset on the promenade in Canton in Baltimore during a dinner date. Steph had been working late the night before, so she was borderline exhausted and moving a little slower than usual. (And Kameni insisted on looking her best too!) Lee attempted many times to get Steph out the door watching the sun slowly make it’s descent down. But rather than call it a loss, he pivoted beautifully and simply dropped to his knee in their kitchen when she came downstairs and asked then and there, shining ring in the palm of his hand. Needless to say, Steph was more than surprised and she said Yes! (I imagine Kameni was excited too!)

The One

Sometimes there is a defining moment, other times its a slow build, but eventually every couple can say how they knew the other was “the one.” That one person they can envision a forever future with.

From Stephanie- “We spent a weekend with his family over the summer a few months after we started dating. I loved to see Lee happy and in his element with his family and I knew I wanted to spend my life with him.”

From Lee- “When Stephanie moved to Colorado, we shared adventures hiking and embracing the local culture. I knew that I wanted to continue to share a life with Stephanie.”
