She clutched her daughter tight and together they shared their beautiful mother daughter dance under the twinkling bistro lights in the atrium. Bravely, Kirsten held fast to her mother and swayed gently with her. Her new husband, Neal, looked on with love in his eyes. And the guests surrounding them smiled and you could feel their hearts reaching out to this beautiful family. Just a week ago, the family had experienced a terrible loss, and it was because of that loss, that the love felt during this day was so strong. Everyone present wanted nothing more than to share joy with this couple and join in the celebration of their new life together. Everyone chose joy and wrapped this wonderful family up in love for this beautiful day.
Kirsten & Neal had stood beneath a gorgeous flowering arch with one of their best friends ushering them into this new life as husband and wife. Each had such sweet words to say to the other as a way of expressing their love and devotion to one another. Tears fell and smiles were abundant. Laughter even caught this beautiful couple at their first kiss, and the realness behind it is enough to make you tear up yourself at the sheer beauty of love. See their engagement session here
But what was most distinctive about this wedding was the joy. Kirsten & Neal had so much joy in their hearts for everyone they ran into throughout the day. They both greeted everyone with a big hug and a huge smile. This was their day and they were doing exactly what they should have been doing: Reveling in that sheer joy for every single moment that made up this day. The strength and beauty of their hearts was something to be admired and I cannot wait to see how their marriage flourishes into something truly magical.

I wish you nothing but happiness and I know that you will get through all that life throws at you, because love always finds a way. Remember to always comfort each other, listen, and when in doubt, make each other a meal (or a drink). I’ve found it to be a wonderful gesture when it’s been a hard day.
