MAGICAL EVENING WEDDING AT GRAMERCY MANSION | RICHARD AND SARAH | AMANDA MACPHEE STUDIOS | MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

From Amanda: Well this was definitely one for the books as it was my first evening wedding, and MAN did it exced my expectations. There is something so magical about candlelight and string lights twinkling above you (like stars even). It was the perfect setting for Richard and Sarah as they said their I dos to each other. It really was such a sweet wedding and I loved every minute! It actually reminded so strongly of that song they played at the end credits of Anastasia (it was a favorite of mine for years. Still would be if I could find it) ha!

At the Beginning…

It was a Friday night in August 2014. Sarah had just moved back home from college and was currently working at a local Inn. Richie had just left his Starbucks job in pursuit of his Computer Programming career. Then, by happenstance, they both ended up at a local party. This is where things just started to flow! Richie greeted Sarah at the door and then all night long, glances were made. By the time the night was over and they had said their goodbyes, Richie immediately messaged her after. They hung out the next day, and the next, and the next, and a week later they decided to make the relationship official. That was 7 years ago, and they have been infatuated with each other ever since.

Now I Know…

After 5 years together, with certainty in his heart, Richie reached out to Sarah’s sister Emily to find the perfect ring to propose with. Too excited to contain the secret anymore, Richie soon told Sarah one night at 3 am of his plans the night before Father’s Day. On Father’s Day, they kidnapped Sarah’s parents, and Richie’s mother to lunch and he asked Sarah’s father for her hand in marriage. That July, the entirety of the Morada family went to Vermont for their annual Monkle (Richie’s uncle is a monk) visit and family reunion. Richie proposed at sunset on top of the mountain and ofcourse Sarah said Yes!!

Dreams Do Come True

The rain pitter pattered against the windows of the atrium in a soft melody as Sarah and Richie faced each other and said their sweet vows to each other. Neither could keep the grins off their faces, and when all was said and done, the kiss they shared said it all. Everything they could’ve ever wanted was right there and at last, they had each other forever!

The One

Sometimes there is a defining moment, other times its a slow build, but eventually every couple can say how they knew the other was “the one.” That one person they can envision a forever future with.

From Sarah– I knew Richie was the one nearly immediately. He is patient, kind, genuine, and has a heart of gold. He holds me tight when I need it, and he makes me laugh when it seems impossible. He is my rock that is filled with diamonds, gold, and magic.

From Richie: I knew Sarah was the one immediately. Her kind, caring, empathetic nature made itself evident the second we met. Everyday she proves she’s the most perfect person I know.
