A Family Affair

In the bible, we are called to serve. Serve others as Jesus would serve. Selflessly and with our whole hearts. It was truly heartwarming to watch the Doherty and the Williamss band together and create a truly wonderful wedding for Maggie & Trae. We serve out of love. Not just for each other, but for the Lord. Not only did Maggie and Trae’s family band together to provide a full spread of food for cocktail hour, transport it to the church AND unload, but they showed immense kindness as well. Father of the Bride and Father of Groom clasped shoulders during toasts because of the immense respect they felt for each other. You could tell this family was already well in the making by the time wedding day arrived. Today was merely a celebration of that union. And what a celebration was had! Family and friends shared their favorite memories of the bride and groom, enjoyed a job well done, and all the while showering love on the couple of the hour: Maggie & Trae.

The Joy of Serving

When the people you surround yourself with have only one focus: sharing the heart of the Lord through service and love, it’s hard to not be filled with joy that those people are going to be in your wedding party. And the acts of service just kept coming as the day progressed. Maggie and her bridesmaids were right there to lend a hand when the food needed to be loaded into the van (in heels!) Trae and his Groomsmen were happy to fetch some of that same food for the ladies while taking pictures. And all the while there was just so much laughter and joy. Sometimes you can just see the light of the Lord in people and today, it shone brighter than the sun (which did decide to show up after all!)

Heartwarming

Can you imagine how good and kind Maggie & Trae must be for all these people to band together so selflessly for them? Absolutely Heartwarming. Maggie is already just so sweet and kind. It only makes sense that the big ole goofball that is Trae would be the man God designed for her. Together the two are this beacon of light and joy. There is no other way to describe the quiet way they look at each other and the sweet smiles they share between moments. These two were just STUNNING.
