There is no one singular moment where you know you've found "the one" but there is a moment where it all becomes clear.
From Gloria: On our (second) first date, we had gone to a jazz club and were talking about dancing, which Steven said he doesn't do. So when, a few weeks later, he invited me to his New Years party at his house, I joked that it could be a Viennese waltz party. The night of the party, he surprised me by teaching himself to waltz so that we could dance together! I was amazed at how sweet and thoughtful he was. That was when I had a feeling he could be the one.
How did you know?
"we've been through so much together"
Honestly it has been a feeling that grew over time. I can be indecisive about certain things in life, but this is different. When I proposed, I told Gloria how incredibly sure I feel about us, which is an incredible feeling for me who's typically so analytical and can overthink things sometimes. We've been through so much together, from the pandemic and long distance relationship to career changes and everything in between, I know that together we can get through anything life throws at us.

We love taking long walks through Central Park, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful flowers. We also love going to concerts, the opera, the theatre ... and ice cream! We also love dancing, usually swing dancing but sometimes we attempt tango. We also love to travel.
When's the Wedding?
FIRST MEETING
We met twice, actually! The first time was at a rooftop yoga event. There were refreshments afterward and Steven worked up the courage to go over and talk to Gloria. We hit it off and went on two lovely dates, but then Steven said something about potentially moving to California, and Gloria figured that was that.

THE PROPOSAL
We decided to plan the proposal together. First we spent time picking out the engagement ring together. For the proposal it was important to us that we did it somewhere meaningful to us and our relationship, so we picked the Metropolitan Opera House since we love going there and have had some special moments there through the years. After a romantic dinner for two we went early to the opera house before most of the crowds and shared a very special moment when Steven proposed on the top of the grand staircase in the atrium at the Met. After taking lots of photos we saw the opera, L'Elisir d'Amore, "The Elixir of Love" which was very apropos for the evening.
