There is no one singular moment where you know you've found "the one" but there is a moment where it all becomes clear.
From Amanda: I knew Tyler was the one on a drive to a winery. Tyler says I dropped a bomb on him, but I think we clarified and defined the relationship that day. We agreed that we wanted to build a life together and make each others hopes and dreams come true. We had some good wine, but more importantly Tyler found his favorite DMV area pizza.

I knew Amanda was the one after a date in Silver Spring where we shared ice cream, listening to music in the park, and talked about our futures together including sharing our struggles and successes.

Ginger and Sam
1. Amanda adopted Ginger a few months before Tyler came into her life. She’s named after Ginger Rogers because she’s always tapping her floofy feet.
2. Sam is Tyler’s second lab and is always bursting with energy for the frisbee. He is always loving the humans in his life.
3. They have become good roommates and take turns sounding the morning alarm for breakfast.
When's the Wedding?
FIRST DATE
Our first date was on 7.8.22. We met a Ramen restaurant and kept delaying the end of the date (I remember sitting with my purse on my lap ready to go but never wanting to actually end it). =We met online and had been talking for about a month about our dogs, travel adventures, and dreams. We went on subsequent dates to a winery, and the National Harbor on a dark and stormy night where we decided to make things official.
When's the Wedding?
VACATIONING
Our first Vacation together was to Maine – October 2022. Amanda had been working on visiting all 50 states (Maine was one of six left on the list) and Tyler wanted to see more National Parks including Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor– so that’s how we chose the destination.
Then in December Tyler completed his graduate degree!
Our second vacation was in Ireland celebrating Tyler’s 30th in March and then we went to Charleson, SC for Amanda's birthday in July!
When's the Wedding?
MAKING IT OFFICAL
After being together for a year we moved in together.
viii. Engaged in the Great Smokey Mountains on 10.11.23. We planned that trip around the dogs and brought them with us. We stayed in a cabin, went on several hikes (and got engaged at Inspiration Point on Mount Le Conte), and came nose to nose with a moose.
